Prayer is the most effective and powerful resource that we have access to. Prayer is not only the fuel that drives our spiritual walk with Christ but it is also the fuel that propels our projects forward to completion. Therefore, we are so excited and encouraged to see you on this page.
Civil unrest is a way of life for the people in many parts of South Asia. Many of our workers and partners are constantly in fear of losing their livelihoods either to government thugs or their neighbors, who at times seems to make a sport of persecuting Christians. Often times, in nations where there are rebel factions aimed at toppling the existing government, many parents fear that one day their children might be kidnapped by militant groups. If kidnapped, the young boys are forced to fight for the militant groups and commit horrible acts of violence. As for the girls, many are kidnapped and forced into prostitution, some as young as eight. Wives fear their husbands will be killed simply because they are wrongly labeled as informants and husbands worry their wives will be sexually assaulted. And many wonder if the train they are riding on will be targeted for the next bomb attack. It is a horrible way to live.
It is God who opens new doors for the Gospel. Pray for favor from governments and authorities for missionaries needing visas and for churches seeking places to meet together. Pray that the Gospel would prosper, even in the face of persecution.
Pray that God would enable missionaries to learn new languages and customs so they can reach people at a heart level. Ask for teachable, humble hearts that are yielded to the Lord.
Pray for the hearts of the "unreached peoples" to be softened and willing to hear the truth of the Gospel.
Pray that the brethren will be fully devoted unto the Lord, that they would be deeply rooted and established in love; that they would grow in the knowledge of God’s word and boldly share it with others.
Pray that the Lord will promptly remove all obstacles that interfere with the planting of new churches in areas that have never had a church. Pray that God's Kingdom will quickly grow in unity among the believers so that their churches will seek each other's company and advice. Pray that these things will usher in a new era for their people.
Pray for native missionaries to stand firm against all the evils of the world and out of enemy, satan. Ask the Lord God to give theme spirit of perseverance while asking the Lord to rebuke all discouragements that is thrown upon them by their opposers.
Ask that the Lord will continually grants us and our partners with heavenly wisdom. Our work is difficult and at times, dangerous and we can never have enough wisdom.
Do not just ask the Lord to give us new field workers so that we may continue harvesting the fruit that is before us. However, pray that the Lord will grant us men and women who thirst for the, who thirst for time in prayer, who thirst to obey the will of God in all things.
